former Smiths’ guitarist Johnny Marr has announced a headlining fall tour in support of his upcoming new album,  due out October 7th on Warner Music Group. Marr revealed the nearly 30-date North American run that begins on November 9 in DC and ends with back-to-back shows in Los Angeles on December 19 & 20. The trek also includes two shows in New York (one in Manhattan and one in Brooklyn). See below for a complete list of announced tour dates.

Marr’s lead single, “Easy Money” from ‘Playland’ he describes the track as having, “…throbbing bass, funky guitar and a catchy melody to mask lyrics about the downfalls of greed.”

‘Playland’ is Marr’s second solo effort and the follow up to last year’s ‘The Messenger.’Work on the album commenced in London in spring 2014 as soon as the year of touring in support of ‘The Messenger’ came to a close. It finds Marr continuing the creative connection that was forged on ‘The Messenger’ with collaborator and co-producer Doviak, as well as the other musicians who performed on the album and accompanying tour.
