Having recently wrapped up her first US tour this January, Jessy Lanza is back on the road this Spring supporting Cut Copy across North America, including two sets at New York’s Terminal 5. The Hamilton-based artist will also play Austin’s SXSW this March.

Lanza’s debut record, Pull My Hair Back, was released in September 2013 on Hyperdub, an album that layers electronic, pop and R&B sounds. Co-written and co-produced with Jeremy Greenspan of Junior Boys. With a background as a singer and skilled piano scholar, Jessy’s voice flutters atop the synths seductively, accentuating her mutual love with Greenspan over R&B, house, disco, 80s studio rock, old hardware synths and drum machines. Pull My Hair Back has production throughout reminiscent of early Junior Boys, with a sound that treads a fine line between cold futurism and the R&B the duo is so infatuated with.
