Emay is an MC/producer from Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. Having parents that immigrated to Canada from Ghana in the late 80s, Emay was born in Montreal but grew up mostly in Toronto, Brampton and Hamilton. Emay considers his music to be experimental and is influenced by the likes of MF Doom, Flying Lotus, DJ Premier, AZ, and El-P just to name a few.

Israfil “angels trumpet” comes of Emay’s Ilah. The album is a completely self-produced effort, a unique, introspective experience that Emay has been developing for over 3 years.
