“Into Gold” by London Grammar
UK trio, London Grammar have released their latest new track, “Into Gold,” out now on Ministry of Sound. The new single encapsulates the liberating spirit of their forthcoming album The Greatest Love. The band includes Hannah Reid, Dan Rothman and Dot Major. The Greatest Love follows London Grammar’s previous LP Californian Soil.
Speaking about “Into Gold,” vocalist Hannah Reid said, “’Into Gold'” is about mourning loss and overcoming heartbreak. It’s interesting, as I think it’s a bit more like old London Grammar. As much as I love our old music, I’ve moved into a different phase where I notice how different my voice sounds on the older material; it’s a lot sadder. I think in our newer material I might be touching on things that are sad but telling the story in more of a celebratory way. With ‘Into Gold’ it’s been carved up and dressed up so beautifully by Dan and Dot.”
London Grammar recently made their return to the stage in the UK as part of Radio 1’s Big Weekend. Future UK notable shows include headlining the Park Stage at Glastonbury on June 26th and headlining the Latitude Festival on July 27th. They also recently announced a European arena tour, which is their biggest to date with tickets selling rapidly. See below for London Grammar’s tour itinerary.
