Another Glory is the project featuring veteran Portland-based musicians José Medeles (The Breeders)  and Nathan Trueb. The duo recently announced their debut self-titled album will drop on October 18th, ahead of the LP’s release, they have shared “I’m Comin’ Home,” the track follows previous singles “One Wing,” and “I Have Stopped Thinking About You.”

“Wrote this song driving across the middle of the U.S. with my Dad. We were working, getting up at 4am every day and drove through several states. We were in Kansas. I had read Truman Capote and we drove past the Clutter’s house, Dodge, even went to a strange Wizard of Oz museum. So much American history and it felt very nostalgic- even more so now that I’m older and that history intertwined with my own.” Says, Nathan Trueb on “I’m Comin’ Home”

“Inspired by hearing Nathan’s chords and story, I wanted to approach the drum cadence with same feel and tale of nostalgia, dusty roads and mystery. To celebrate the feeling of the familar and returning home,” says José Medeles.

Another Glory is described by the artists as a stripped down affair, a conversation between two musical virtuosos with the help of guest contributors Nels Cline (Wilco), Ben Harper and producer Steve Berlin. The collaboration began as organically as possible, with these two musicians linking up for a jam session after Medeles recorded him playing along to Trueb’s solo music. The chemistry was electric, and the duo decided to see where their collective imagination could take them.

The result is Another Glory, a deeply realized meditation on the history of folk music, but one that looks in numerous directions to illuminate each musician’s one-of-a-kind style. The duo’s first album is a celebration of friendship and artistic drive.
