Heavenly Recordings have announced the release of The Kneecap Film Soundtrack, the LP is now available digitally. The release of The Kneecap Film Soundtrack follows the band’s debut album, Fine Art which was released via Heavenly earlier this year. The soundtrack features tracks from Kneecap, as well as others including Bicep, Fontaines D.C., Orbital plus the film’s incidental music composed by Michael ‘Mikey J’ Asante MBE interspersed with snippets of the film’s dialogue.

Already out in the U.S. and Ireland, the film is based around the story of the riotous and ground-breaking Irish language rap-trio Kneecap and stars the band’s Mo Chara, Móglaí Bap and DJ Próvaí in their acting debuts alongside Academy Award nominated Michael Fassbender, Simone Kirby and Josie Walker. Set in West Belfast in 2019, it chronicles how fate brings the trio together and how they then go on to “change the sound of Irish music forever”. The film won the ‘Next Audience Award’ at this year’s Sundance Film Festival
