“Happy One” by Danye
Liverpool’s Scouse psych outfit, Danye, have released their latest offering, ‘Happy One’.The song itself is simply about trying to find a table in a busy restaurant, and it is this laid back approach that further cements their effortlessly cool sound.
The video for ‘Happy One’, shows the band in a different light, as singer Daniel West is pictured in Sean Ryder-esque attire. ‘Happy One’, comes off the back of a support slot with The Amazons, and three well-received singles in, ‘Myth Plura’, ‘Passionfruit’, and, ‘Recently’.
Danye have been credited for their Saharan sound, one that even in the dimmest of days will give you a cool summer breeze. ‘Happy One’ is taken from DANYE’s, as yet untitled, debut EP which is set for release “soon”. As far as efforts to create psych-pop goes, it’s safe to say the band are bang on the money.
Keep an eye out for tour dates to be announced in the near future.
