Half Waif has given us us another taste of her forthcoming release The Caretaker, which is scheduled to drop on March 27th. Today, Nandi Rose AKA: Half Waif has shared a visualizer for “In August.” Half Waif will be live broadcasting an intimate set from her home on March 27th at 7 PM EST. Details to come.

Following the CDC’s recommendations regarding COVID-19 and global safety concerns, Half Waif has cancelled the sold-out The Caretaker record release show at Brooklyn, NY’s Public Records on 3/27 and will also be postponing her North American May tour dates. Rescheduled dates will be announced shortly.

Of the song, Rose says: “‘In August’ tracks the dissolution of a friendship over the course of a year, throughout every season. There’s a particular kind of sadness to a friendship ending when there’s no one to blame, just as there’s something mournful about the inevitable change of weather. Sometimes it’s not a big fight but a gradual growing apart that marks the end – how do we make sense of our role in that? This song is an attempt to recognize and accept mutual culpability in an effort to move on.”
