Glixen will release their new EP, quiet pleasures, on February 21, 2025 digitally via AWAL and on vinyl via Wichita Recordings. Along with the news, the band have shared the single, “lick the star.” “This song is special, it begins with a mellow sonic bath of an intro and explodes into a whirling wall of sound and melody,” says bandleader Aislinn Ritchie. “Also, we are excited to announce our first full US headline tour. The new singles follows “lust,” “foreversoon,” and “sick silent” beginning to preview what the upcoming Sonny DiPerri (My Bloody Valentine, DIIV) produced EP will sound like. Today’s song is a step forward within their sound; atmospheric and drenched in distortion, continuing a sonic evolvement that feels fresh and completely locked in.
