Friko releases new single “Pride Trials”
Friko have released the new single “Pride Trials.” The song previews the band’s expanded edition of Where we’ve been, Where we go from here, out November 22nd on ATO Records. “”Pride Trials” was actually one of the first Friko songs,” the band shares. “We started playing it in late 2019 at DIY shows in Chicago and then we recorded it around that time as well. It went through many transformations and ended up at a place that we truly love. This is a very special song for us.”
The 2XLP vinyl and digital release features demos from the Where we’ve been, Where we go from here sessions, eleven bonus tracks including previously unreleased studio recordings, live tracks from a sold-out hometown Metro show, and a cover of My Bloody Valentine’s “When You Sleep.”
This summer, Friko made festival debuts at Lollapalooza, Newport Folk Festival, and Fuji Rock, toured with Royel Otis, Water From Your Eyes, WILLIS, and Mind’s Eye. The band just wrapped their first European headline run and are currently on tour in Japan and China. Friko has recently announced an extensive U.S. headline tour which will launch next February.
