“Flowers” Oscar Lang
Oscar Lang, recently released his new single “Flowers,”’ the track is available via Dirty Hit (Wolf Alice, The 1975). Written and co-produced once more by Lang himself. “‘Flowers’ is a new change in my sound that I’ve been waiting to make for a while, I finally get to record the songs I’ve been writing since I was 16 but never had the opportunity to go into a studio and do a full band recording of. I wanted to blend a mix of the old Beatles-esque psychedelia and a modern sound, and it was a fun opportunity for me to scream all over a track.”
Lang recently joined labelmates No Rome and Beabadoobee on the second ever Dirty Hit Tour in winter 2019, playing a slew of sold-out shows to adoring new audiences, culminating in an especially packed London show at the Tufnell Park Dome. Vice and NME both trailed the tour with the former hailing Lang’s set as “like a riotous school disco.”
His self-released 2018 records Teenage Hurt and Silk were later pressed on limited yellow 12″ vinyl and re-released by Dirty Hit (available HERE). The early records set the tone for his solo work – spanning lilting psych hooks to dreamy washes of guitar to punchy millennial lyricism – and drew in hundreds of thousands of listeners in the process.
