Bleached are comprised of Sisters Jennifer and Jessie Clavin, recently the Los Angeles duo shared their new single “Flip It,” the track, is their first new single since 2020’s “Stupid Boys”.

A chance studio session and a standout demo on a hard drive full of them spurred the sisters–who were very much enjoying some much needed time away from the studio and the road over the past few years–back into action. Though Jennifer and Jessie sound confident, excited, and brash on the new single, their road to making the track was a bit more nerve wracking. The entire process made me feel a little weird inside because it’s a little scary putting yourself back out there after having two years of being a hermit,” Jennifer explains with a laugh. Part of that nervousness comes from the DIY approach the duo took to this new single. For the first time since the early 2010s, Bleached is handling the entire operation on their own.

I don’t know much about the business of putting out a song, but that aspect of the release is making it exciting,” Jessie says. “We don’t really need a whole label to accomplish what we want to,” Jennifer adds, “but it does put added pressure on us to make sure ‘FLIP IT works.’”
