Field Trip 2016: Festival Wrap-up
The fourth annual Field Trip Music & Arts Festival returned to Toronto’s Fort York and Garrison Commons this past weekend. Run by the city’s beloved indie label, Arts & Crafts, the two-day long event truly encompasses the best attributes of a music festival. The people who make up Field Trip, whether they be attendees, vendors, volunteers or security, are some of the most genuine spirits you will find. It could be argued that Never have I been to a festival that attracts such a respectful and friendly audience. The diversity of families, couples, and friends makes for a feel good atmosphere where strangers don’t think twice before striking up a conversation amongst themselves.
Boasting incredible performances from The National, July Talk, Bully, Charles Bradley, DIIV and Of Montreal, Field Trip continues to one-up itself from the year before. This is a young festival with a lot of promise, and we look forward to watching it grow.
