Erick the Architect drops new single “Beverly Drive”
Erick the Architect (of Flatbush Zombies) is sharing new single “Beverly Drive”, with the new track the artist will release a deluxe edition of his solo album I’ve Never Been Here Before. The deluxe version, out on November 15, will feature new material and 5 new songs. “Beverly Drive” draws inspiration from Beverly Road in Brooklyn, where he grew up, Beverly Drive in California, where he currently lives, and Jamaica, where the song was first written.
Released earlier this year, along With features from Joey Bada$$, Westside Boogie, George Clinton, Channel Tres, Kimbra, Lalah Hathaway, and more, plus production from James Blake.
“Beverly Drive” was initially unveiled through a retro-style video game Erick created to tie into the album. Fans who completed the game were rewarded with an early listen to the track. The game, which brings back nostalgic side-scrolling arcade vibes with 8-bit versions of the album’s songs, is still live and available for fans to play HERE.
