EKKSTACY Shares “I Gave You Everything”
Vancouver, BC artist EKKSTACY shares his new single “I GAVE YOU EVERYTHING.” His first new musical offering of 2022 ignites an exciting new chapter for the young artist, expanding the sound he first unveiled with his debut album NEGATIVE last year, where he drew upbeat influence from his contemporary indie pop heroes and flecks of mid-80’s British indie rock, while also imbuing the darker, introspective songwriting of early 2000’s alternative and emo-rock. “I GAVE YOU EVERYTHING” is a thrashing rush of feelings of aimlessness from the track’s opening riff, which arrives with an accompanying visual directed by Jason Peterson following EKKSTACY as a fading angel meandering through a bleak urban purgatory in search of a true partner. In 2021, EKKSTACY introduced himself as a burgeoning talent to watch with his well-received debut album NEGATIVE. To open 2022, EKKSTACY released the NEGATIVE (Live) project, including live versions of “then i met her,” “it only gets worse, i promise” and “i walk this earth all by myself.”
“I GAVE YOU EVERYTHING” continues EKKSTACY’s partnership with UnitedMasters. The new single follows his recent collaboration with LA-based band HEALTH on “STILL BREATHING” and his European headline tour that wrapped up last month, where he performed to his largest audiences to date. Earlier this week in Oregon, EKKSTACY began his extensive North American tour run alongside Purity Ring. The 46-date tour will last the entirety of June and July with stops at Webster Hall & Brooklyn Steel in New York, and The Wiltern in LA.
