Dora Jar Drops New Single “She Loves Me”
Dora Jar unveils her new single and video “She Loves Me”, the track is available today via Island Records. A study of the layers of her personhood, “She Loves Me” references Dora’s internal conversations with the two sides of herself: who she is in a group of people versus who she is alone. In the accompanying music video (inspired by true events and directed by Erica Snyder) Dora blurs the line between her public and her private selves, dancing around a Berlin apartment party in a towel amongst friends and strangers. “This song is an ode to the girl I wish I could be,” Dora says about “She Loves Me”, which is the first release from Dora Jar since last year’s “Puppet”—an expressive, glam rock track signaling a new era in Dora’s sound. In February, fellow pop maverick Ashnikko tapped Dora to remix her 2023 single “You Make Me Sick!”.
Dora Jar was born in NYC, but raised in LA, the artist’s sound has grown an audience with her catchy singles “Multiply”, and her eclectic, playful, but mature songwriting skills led to the release of her debut EP, Digital Meadow in 2021, followed by 2022’s comfortably in pain. Over the course of 2022, she has released “Bumblebee”, “Bump” and “Spell”, and joined Billie Eilish on her ‘Happier Than Ever World Tour’ in the US, Australia, and New Zealand. After selling out her first North American headline tour in 2022, Dora embarked on a national arena tour with The 1975 in 2023, playing sold-out shows at TD Garden in Boston and Madison Square Garden in New York City.
