“Diamonds” By Joe Flowers
London-based artist, Joe Flowers, takes inspiration from the likes of Frank Ocean, Jack Garratt and Sinatra. When he’s not dog-walking in parks, Joe Flowers spends his time in the studio, crafting melodies which at their core, are shameless pop/R&B gems.
“Diamonds” draws influence from old school funk masters such as James Brown up to more contemporary acts such as Gnarls Barkley and NAO. Lyrically the song verges on the surreal, as Joe Flowers continues to push the boundaries between the magically abstract and the mundane. Diamonds is an exploration of intense relationships and their propensity to become other-worldly and fantastical; how they can alter reality for better or worse.
