Ahead of the start of their North American tour, which kicks off on October 17th, with three sold out shows in Toronto, Dehd releases a cover of one of their favorite Pixies tracks, “Mr. Grieves,” available today via all DSPs. The cover reveals how similar the two bands are, skirting the lines between punk and pop with the catchiest hooks of their day and their trademark loudQUIETloud songwriting style which is characterized by softer verses that highlight lyrical quality juxtaposed against loud, anthemic sing-along choruses. Dehd released their album, Poetry, last May via via Fat Possum Records, featuring singles “Mood Ring” and “Dog Days.” Dehd’s North American tour concludes with three sold-out nights at Thalia Hall in their hometown of Chicago. The band recently announced their European leg of the Poetry tour, which will commence in March 2025.
