Color Palette debuts new single “Grateful”

Color Palette, is the project of songwriter/vocalist Jay Nemeyer, the band create indie dream pop combined with elements of electronica and shoegaze. The Washington DC band has shared the stage with Charli XCX and many more, and have received a Wammie (Washington Area Music) Award for Best Pop Song (“Marrakech to Bombay”). Today, they are streaming their new guitar driven single “Grateful,” the track will be available on January 24th via DSPs.

From Jay Nemeyer:

“Grateful,” is an ode to the idea of being shaped and strengthened by adversity. Most people simply don’t have the time to do what they truly love. Our minds are consumed with thoughts of rent, bills, world wars, health crises, and working a (sometimes) very unfulfilling job. “Dreams”, a new release by Washington, DC – based band Color Palette, attempts to capture this sentiment with the refrain “our lights are bright, but they’re fading fast”. In a world that is descending into chaos, “Dreams” seeks to unite us all under the umbrella of optimism with a tinge of existential dread.
