CocoRosie streams new single “We Are On Fire”

CocoRosie recently announce the release of “We Are On Fire” b/w “Tearz For Animals” 7″ and digital single, with a street date of June 5 on Touch & Go. Today the band shares the A- side of the single for the first time in preparation for a new batch of tour dates in California.

The single was recorded with David Sitek in Los Angeles this past Winter. CocoRosie also recorded early in the spring of 2012 with Antony Hegarty at their home studio in Brooklyn.Antony Hegarty sings on “Tearz For Animals.” CocoRosie’s thoughts on the recording sessions:

“Working with Dave is a creative exorcism -musical kinship without boundary.”

The “We Are On Fire” artwork marks the first collaboration between artist Jesse Hazelip and Bianca (aka Twin Rivers). The “Tearz For Animals” art work came from a prison exchange project; drawings from the inside, between friends, as a means to hope.
