2015 marks the sixteenth anniversary of Carpark Records. The much-respected Washington, DC and Brooklyn-based label will celebrate this milestone with a host of basketball-themed releases and series of shows in Brooklyn, Washington DC and at SXSW. American Giant will sponsor these shows and the first 50 guests through the door at each event will get a free limited-edition anniversary t-shirt.

Over the sixteen years Carpark Records has been in business, they have put out over 100 releases including ones from celebrated artists like Beach House, Cloud Nothings, Dan Deacon, Speedy Ortiz and Toro Y Moi.

In the coming months, Carpark Records will release limited-edition items including a special basketball-themed picture disc consisting of nine exclusive songs plus 19 locked grooves from artists across the label’s spectrum. Proceeds from the release will go to Little Kids Rock who over the past 13 years has given more than 325,000 under-served schoolchildren across the U.S. access to music classes and brand new instruments.
