Candide Streams ‘Don’t You Go’ EP

BROOKLYN'S CANDIDE SHARES FULL STREAM OF SOULFUL SUMMERTIME SYNTHPOP EP DON'T YOU GO, OUT TOMORROW ON ZAPRUDER RECORDS

Candide is Candice Strongwater and Adam Brodsky- a synth-pop group based in Brooklyn. Heavily influenced by the electronic music sounds of Berlin following an extended trip, the musicians returned to their home base of NYC to start crafting their own take on electro, fusing dance music with chilly dark beats of their own creation. Their debut EP, Don’t You Go, is set for release on June 24th, 2014 via Zappruder Records.  Following the release of the dark-disco first single “Scaredy Cat” as well as a remix from fellow Brooklyn producer RushMidnight, the band’s has shared a full stream of the disco-tinged EP (the EP can also be found below).

Their first EP, Don’t You Go, showcases the careful balance that the musicians have mastered over the past few years in NYC- pulling from house and techno roots juxtaposed with the dynamic vocals of front woman Strongwater. The Don’t You Go EP also features remixes from Brooklyn acts AIMES and Rush Midnight as well as previously unreleased tracks “Work Hard” and “BIT.” The band has recently performed with acts such as Foxes, Wet, Black Marble, UUMANS, Houses, White Prism, Gavin Russom, Painted Palms, Saint Pepsi, Jamaican Queens and Big Spider’s Back.
