Bryce Dessner Scores Soundtrack for We Live In Time
A24 Music announces the original score by classical composer Bryce Dessner of The National, for the film We Live In Time, directed by John Crowley and written by Nick Payne. The soundtrack will be available on October 17 via A24 Music. Dessner recently scored A24’s Sing Sing.
We Live In Time follows Almut (Florence Pugh) and Tobias (Andrew Garfield) who are brought together in a surprise encounter that changes their lives. Through snapshots of their life together – falling for each other, building a home, becoming a family – a difficult truth is revealed that rocks its foundation. As they embark on a path challenged by the limits of time, they learn to cherish each moment of the unconventional route their love story has taken, in filmmaker John Crowley’s deeply moving romance.
Bryce Dessner is a founding member of The National, guitarist, arranger and co-principal songwriter. He has composed for ensembles, Orchestre de Paris to the Los Angeles Philharmonic. His film score credits include Alejandro González Iñárritu’s The Revenant – for which he was Grammy and Golden Globe-nominated. His other credits include The Two Popes by Oscar-nominated director Fernando Meirelles (2019), C’mon C’mon directed and written by Mike Mills (2021), and recently She Came To Me (2023) for which he crafted two opera pieces performed in the film.
