Brooklyn post-punks BOOTBLACKS are back with a new single and they’re ready to shake it up, marking the beginning of a new era for the band and closing off the previous with an exemplary new track.

Speaking on the new single, vocalist Panther Almqvist states: “‘Forbidden Flames’ has been a long time coming. Personally I think it encapsulates the musical trajectory the band has been on for quite some time. I think it also represents the forthcoming album and our intentions musically moving forward. We’re thrilled to introduce our new member Kalle’s guitar playing and musical influence to the rest of the world, which we feel fortunate to have been treated to through the writing and recording process.”

This new single, ‘Forbidden Flames’ is the future as we see it. That might seem like a lot to say about a single song, but as I see it, it’s symbolically the first step on a new road and new journey that we are excited to take and I hope everyone enjoys it with us”

Since the group’s formation in 2010, Brooklyn based Bootblacks have been enthralling audiences with their frenetic live shows from North America to Europe. Their sound is described as a balance of contradictions: both pensive and buoyant, referential and modern.
