Blood Orange debuts “You’re Not Good Enough”
Blood Orange – aka Devonté Hynes – recently scored Gia Coppola’s full-length film Palo Alto (James Franco, Emma Roberts, Jack Kilmer, Nat Wolff, Zoe Levin), and the two have teamed up again in Hynes’ new music video for “You’re Not Good Enough.” The 80s-inspired video features both Coppola and Hynes, who is showcasing some sweet dance moves, as well as an appearance by Samantha Urbani, who contributes vocals to the Cupid Deluxe track. The video was co-produced by Urban Outfitters as the 18th installment of their UO Music Video Series.
“I was very excited by the prospect of getting to do a music video for Dev. I’m obviously a huge fan of his, and we’ve been talking about trying to make a video together for a while now,” says director Gia Coppola. “Dev has great taste. I love discussing what interests us and bringing our ideas together. I’ve always been fascinated with choreography and live television, both of which felt perfect for ‘You’re Not Good Enough.’”
The UO Music Video Series alumnus: Liars, Washed Out, Classixx, Charlie XCX, Autre Ne Veut, Tame Impala, How To Dress Well, Peaking Lights, Frankie Rose, The Walkmen, Nick Waterhouse, Cloud Nothings, Black Lips, Spank Rock, The War on Drugs, Beach Fossils, and Toro Y Moi.
