Bleachers To Release Debut Album “Strange Desire”

July 15th will see the release off the debut album by American indie-pop project Bleachers, spearheaded by Jack Antonoff. Strange Desire will be available via RCA Records. Listen to the lead single, “I Wanna Get Better,” above.

Bleachers, the project made public in February 2014, was formed primarily by Jack Antonoff, who is a member of fun. and Steel Train. Strange Desire was written and produced by Antonoff along with co-producer John Hill, who has worked with artists like MIA and JAY Z, and also Vince Clarke who worked with Depeche Mode and Yaz in the past. Speaking of the album title, Jack explained “It’s the 2 words that perfectly title what this Bleachers album is as a documentation of my life as I can remember it at this point.” The album was announced via an ad on Craigslist.

Along with the release of the debut album, Bleachers are also set to kick off their summer festival tour in early June at New York’s Governor’s Ball. Check below for a full list of details about live shows.
