Ben Talmi’s new single “Lift Your Head” is off the composer/singer/songwriter’s forthcoming album Distractionism. Talmi from Pittsfield, MA, currently residing in Brooklyn, NY. He has done orchestral arrangements for Manchester Orchestra, Tokyo Police Club, Wild Nothing and many more. On any given day, you can find him working at his recording studio “Greylock Records”

“The track, “Lift Your Head” is about feeling powerless to help someone you love through a difficult time I’ve learned sometimes the best and only thing you can do in a bad situation is to lift your head and keep on keepin’ on,” Ben says of the song’s lyrical focus.”

Ben Talmi released his previous album My Art Of Almost in May of 2017. “That album found me diving deep into the rabbit hole of Pro Tools, endlessly manipulating and chopping up sounds until I was satisfied with the production,” Ben explains. “This time around I went to Hudson, NY, and wrote the entire new album ‘Distractionism’ solely on an acoustic guitar, finishing the writing of a song A-Z before even thinking about adding production.”
