Belle & Sebastian Share “The Party Line”
Belle & Sebastian have announced a new single “The Party Line” Taken from the forthcoming album Girls in Peacetime Want to Dance, “The Party Line” is the first radio single since “Come on Sister” from their previous album, 2010’s Write About Love.
In May next year, Belle and Sebastian will welcome the summer with a 13-date UK tour stopping at historic venues across Wales, England and Scotland. Tickets for this will go on sale on Friday ahead of the band’s show in Paris on Friday night.
Of the tour, Stuart Murdoch said, “We’ve got some really exciting new ideas for next year, we’re planning on things people would have never expected to see on stage at a Belle and Sebastian show”.
Today the band take to their Facebook later today for a Q&A session with fans, starting at 1:30pm EST/5:30pm GMT, with questions submitted via the band’s Facebook page: www.facebook.com/belleandsebastian?fref=ts.
Girls In Peacetime Want to Dance will be released on Matador on January 19th/20th, 2015. The ninth studio album from Belle and Sebastian was produced and mixed at Maze Studios in Atlanta by Ben H. Allen III, (Gnarls Barkley, Animal Collective, Deerhunter). Additional mixing took place in Glasgow with longtime collaborator Tony Doogan before being mastered by Frank Arkwright at Abbey Road Studios.
