“Before It Might Be Gone” by The Vices
The Vices are sharing “Before It Might Be Gone,” the title track from their forthcoming album, which drops on February 7th, 2025. About the song, Floris van Luijtelaar (the lead singer) says “Most of us are dealing with some kind of pain – at times it feels easier to hide away and sedate yourself in some way. Away from the hurt, but before you know it all the other feelings might be gone too. In my experience, you need to feel the bad in order to be able to see the road to the good again. We as The Vices needed to go down that path.”
Before It Might Be Gone is described introspective journey of self-reflection, capturing the complex emotions that accompany personal transformation. It explores the tension between accepting who you’ve been and discovering who you want to become. While change can bring hope and happiness, it also requires courage.
The band, from Groningen, Netherlands, The Vices is an alternative rock band consisting of Floris van Luijtelaar (vocals/guitar), Simon Bleeker (bass), Jonathan Kruizenga (guitar/keys), and Mathijs Louwsma (drums).
