Maya Bon of Babehoven, and Ella Williams from Squirrel Flower, have shared their wonderful cover of “My Life in Art” by 4AD art rock band Mojave 3. The original version was off the Slowdive-adjacent group’s album, Excuses for Travellers.

Babehoven, the project of singer-songwriter Maya Bon and collaborator Ryan Albert, just recently opened for My Morning Jacket (who were celebrating the 20th Anniversary of their album Z) at Atlanta’s Fox Theatre. Having performed just last night in London, the duo is now overseas touring with Frankie Cosmos, and will be playing in Paris tomorrow night at La Maroquinerie, before finishing their sojourn abroad with dates in Belgium and Berlin next week. On December 13th, they’ll be winding down their year with a performance at The Yard in Beacon, NY.

Squirrel Flower will bring their full band wall of sound to Chicago’s Salt Shed where they’ll be opening for The Beths. Earlier this year, Williams celebrated ten years of performing as Squirrel Flower with the release of Live at Top Note Theatre retrospective of songs performed atop Chicago’s Metro, featuring live guest appearances from Free Range and Hurray for The Riff Raff’s Alynda Segarra.
