Washington, DC band Faunas, have announced their new self released EP Paint The Birds will drop on June 20th. The band featuring lead vocalist Gen, originally in Big Hush (members of Flasher and Pageninetynine). The album is a collection of lush folk songs that are reminiscent of Karon Dalton combined with Pavement. Ahead of the album release, the group have shared lead-single “Avid.”

Faunas was formed in Washington DC in 2016 by Genevieve Ludwig and Erin McCarley as a cathartic release from more serious, subdued projects. Originally fast and loud fuzzed out punk, Faunas sound has evolved to include acoustic songs layered with dark, twinkling guitars and synths that showcase Ludwig’s warm voice and storytelling talent.
