Oracle Sisters, recently released new single “Alouette” along with an accompanying video starring rising star Charlie Rowe (Rocket Man, Angelyne, Vanity Fair) as he dances, boxes, and paints his way through the explosive song. The video was directed by Jim Longden and received a UKVMA nomination this year. The trio includes Julia Johansen, Chris Willatt & Lewis Lazar.

Speaking on the video, the band say: “Meeting Jim Longden in a late-night Parisian haunt sparked a storytelling frenzy that captivated us, after a few drinks we had agreed to entrust the rhapsodizing whizz kid to make our next 3 music videos starting with ‘Alouette’..a one shot, no cut, vision in to the tormented chameleon-like prowess of Charlie Rowe acting out his better selves after finding out he didn’t get the role for an Oracle Sisters video ..we see him triumph over the odds and deliver the excitement and passion that we intended the song to exude and that audiences responded to when we debuted the song on our summer festival tour.”

Chris and Lewis are childhood friends who played music together in school and spent time apart around the clubs in the rock and folk scenes in New York and Edinburgh. The death of Chris’ brother brought the two old friends together again to honor their commitment and promise to write music and carry their collaboration to fruition. With the offer of a friend to come work as artistic director for a new cabaret opening in Pigalle, Paris seemed like the obvious and inevitable place to start their project. It was there they met Julia Johansen, a Finnish musician who landed in Paris on the offer of playing a sci-fi robot role in a movie.
