Rebounder, is the NYC duo comprised Dylan and Noah Chenfeld, who will release their debut album Downtown People on November 6th, 2026 via Nettwerk. Their forthcoming EP includes contributions from musicians and producers Jesse Rutherford (The Neighbourhood), Gianluca Buccellati (Arlo Parks), Alessandro Buccellati (SZA, beabadoobee), and Ivan Berko (fcukers). Their debut album was written, recorded, and produced by Dylan and Noah in their Greenpoint, NY recording studio. “Uptown People wanna be downtown people. Downtown people wanna be downtown people. And I would like for it to be easier to sit at restaurants. It’s a mess, nobody is happy,” says Dylan of the lead single.

Born and raised in New York City, the Chenfeld brothers have seen it all. The scenes come and go, the old haunts shuttered, the waves of new transplants, even a previously unimaginable future in which people are dropping “the” from the West Village and East Village. The city is always changing, its music is always changing, and sometimes it’s all you can do to figure yourself out in the big maelstrom of New York. That’s the backdrop of their band Rebounder’s Downtown People: love, lust, and fuckups in one long humid NYC summer.

Inspired by everything from the vast history of NYC music to alt-pop icons like Sky Ferreira and Lykke Li to idiosyncratic classic rock a la Dire Straits to literary touchstones including Don DeLillo and Bret Easton Ellis, the Chenfelds cook their own ebullient interpretation of 21st century indie, crisp and technicolor but not without the insistence and raw energy of the city they’ve always called home. Early releases like the Subway Songs and Summer Songs EPs caught on, and the band found themselves opening for Phoenix, Muna, Cults, and The Neighbourhood. Yet even with the burgeoning success of their EPs strung throughout the first half of the ‘20s, their proper debut eluded them.
