Neil Young’s musical career started in Canada as a teenager, followed by a move to California in the mid-Sixties, six solid decades later, the artist is still driven to write and perform live, he has never lost that fire. Neil Young and his band The Chrome Hearts, he continues this expressive excursion recorded in Europe, U.K., U.S. and Canada during The Love Earth Tour 2025. The music on their new live album – as time explodes, documents all the highs, the band experienced playing together and responding to the songs and each other.

as time explodes explores the history of Young’s songs from his entire catalog. It’s a journey through time in the modern age. And by freeing themselves from the past, they can perform some of the most exciting songs of a storied history, always showing how the present sounds, redefining the past and presenting it in the here and now.

The album was originally released as a Limited Edition double clear vinyl set on April 18th, Record Store Day, but will now be available via black vinyl, CD and digital editions will be released on May 29th.

Neil Young and The Chrome Hearts features Spooner Oldham (keyboards), Micah Nelson (guitar, Stringman & vocals), Corey McCormick (bass and vocals) and Anthony LoGerfo (drums & vocals) and Young (amp, guitar, pump organ, piano and vocals).

The LP features fan favourites “Harvest Moon,” “Ohio” or “Cortez the Killer,” offering new thrills to “Like a Hurricane” or “After the Gold Rush.” The LP was produced by Lou Adler with The Volume Dealers (Neil Young and Niko Bolas)
