“Dark Planet” by Pet Sun
Long before the dawn of Pet Sun, four friends met for a night of heavy riffing and beer drinking. Their mutual love of all things heavy and psychedelic kept the music flowing all night and it was clear to them something was coming alive within them. From these four bodies came one mind, Pet Sun. A dream-like star radiating fuzzy riffs and hooks strong enough to burn the skin.
Pet Sun consists of Hamilton natives Stephane Senecal-Tremblay on vocals and lead guitar, Parth Jain on drums, Sam Rashid on guitar, with the addition of Nic Arbour on bass. Based between Toronto and Hamilton, the band has graced audiences with their heavy and energetic live shows at every given opportunity.
They have a new single “Dark Planet out now. The song will appear on the band’s new Shade Driver EP, to be released as a 7” December 4th 2015 on The Hand Recordings.
Pet Sun lead singer Stephane Senecal-Tremblay on the track:
“This song is a bit slower that what we usually write. Its works off some 90’s vibes with a splash of doom to help get some heads banging. We like to think that if the Phantom of the Opera went solo he’d put this on his record. Dark Planet is best enjoyed late at night in a dark room lit by a few candles with a fresh pizza delivered by Satan himself.”
