Richmond, VA. band White Laces have shared their new single “Cheese”. The track comes off their forthcoming release No Floor. out September 30th on EggHunt Records The record was recorded primarily at home in 2015 with additional overdubs made at Richmond’s own Spacebomb Studios and was mixed at Uniform Record in Philadelphia, PA by Jeff Zeigler in early 2016. The record finds the band foregoing their traditional guitar/bass/drums setup to explore more electronic and sample-based composition and introduces three-part harmonies featuring the band’s newest member on record, Tori Hovater. Live, the band has expanded into a tight five-piece unit who have spun the new material into more of an expansive sound.

Cheese was originally an instrumental track that our drummer Jimmy brought to practice. I wrote a vocal melody and we added little bit of extra instrumentation including a jittery guitar solo and backing harmonies and it turned into something really special.
