Orouni debuts new single “Nora”
Orouni, a pop-folk band from Paris, recently debuted their new video for the single “Nora”. The clip, was shot in Paris and edited by global house concert network Sofar Sounds. Melding influences from Leonard Cohen, The Kinks and Stereolab, French Orouni delivers a melodic pop with lush arrangements.
The song is sung by Emma Broughton, backing vocalist for Bon Iver when he played in Paris last September. “Nora” has numerous strong melodies, parts and chord changes, which make it “a future classic”. Its lyrics were inspired by Norwegian playwright Henrik Ibsen’s A Doll’s House.
