UK band Dog Saints have dropped new single “Wrestlevania.” The track arrives a year on from their first shows, the group have become a regular on the live London indie scene, and have supported They Are Gutting a Body of Water, Horse Jumper of Love, Catcher and Weatherday.

Following on from a pair of bedroom-produced singles, With members hailing from England, Pennsylvania, and Malaysia, the London-based band marks the band’s debut studio release. recorded, along with b-side ‘Hornets’, in Northampton with Judwyn Rushton of thistle., the track takes its name from “a failed Romanian Gofundme for a vampire wrestling movie”, musically straddling the sweetened melodies of an Alex G with the alt-shoegaze hustle of feeble little horse to produce something tender, explosive and compelling.

Discussing the track, frontman Will Goltz says: “‘Lyrically the song is about wrestling, both because of a stupid pun we refuse to give up, but also a lot of memories and insecurities I have about fighting as a boy. I remember being around a lot of WWE memorabilia and always pretending to look down on it, pretending to be too smart for it but also acting from a real insecurity about my own boyish weakness. The exact title comes from a failed Romanian Gofundme for a vampire wrestling movie. I think we had to use it”
