Woodsist Festival returns to Arrowood Farms in Accord, New York on Saturday September 23th-Sunday, September 24th. This year’s edition features Kevin Morby, Kurt Vile and the Violators, Avery Tare, Woods, Cass McCombs, Bombino, Natural Information Society, Scientist, MJ Lenderman, Water from Your Eyes, Alabaster DePlume, Taper’s Choice, Daniel Higgs, Tyvek, Anna St Louis, Aquarium Drunkard DJs, and Tubby’s DJs. The 2023 lineup also showcases the largest number of artists to perform at the festival to date.

As in previous years, Jeremy Earl of Woods has curated the festival’s eclectic lineup. For nearly two decades, Woods have accumulated a striking extended family of collaborators (and Woods alum) that have made them one of the most dependable outfits in the kaleidoscopic low-key underground. It’s a glow that’s transferred whole to the blissed-out Woodsist Festivals, which continually folds in a wide range of diverse sounds. From the jazz cosmoverse of the Sun Ra Arkestra and adventurous legends Yo La Tengo, to a hard-to-count network of returning contemporaries like Kevin Morby (who served a few tours of duty as Woods bassist) and Kurt Vile (who released his 2009 debut on Woodsist), Woodsist Festival has created a living community in sound.

The inaugural Woodsist Festival took place in Brooklyn in 2009 with Thee Oh Sees headlining alongside a number of acts including Beach Fossils, Real Estate, and Kurt Vile. Since then, the festival has been presented in various locations including Big Sur, Point Reyes National Seashore, and Pioneertown, CA. The festival found its home at Arrowood Farms in 2019, presented in partnership with Ground Control Touring and premiere Hudson Valley concert promoters, Impact Concerts, and returned again in 2021 and 2022.
