Will Butler shares spooky video “What I Want”

Will Butler releases new spooky video for the track "What I Want"

Starring Jennifer Morrison and directed by frequent collaborator Brantley Gutierrez, the video for Will Butler’s “What I Want” follows a buttoned-up couple on an adventure into a CBGBs-type club overrun by anarchist youth. Stay tuned as the action unfolds in a super fun twist!

Will Butler had this to say about the making of the clip: “Filming this video felt like a rock and roll laser tag birthday party. The kids were amazing—upbeat and hilarious the whole shoot. Such civilized anarchists. And—to mix metaphors, I guess—Jennifer Morrison was a real Albus Dumbledore, wise and unflappable and insanely talented. She truly classed up the rest of us muggles.”

Gutierrez also directed the recent video for Butler’s “Anna,” which marks the music video debut of actress Emma Stone. Butler says, “I’ve known and worked with Brantley for 10 years, originally as a photographer and now as a director. I really trust his eye and his aesthetic sense.”

The final Will Butler show of 2015 will take place on December 17 at the Music Hall of Williamsburg in Brooklyn, NY.
