Irish quintet O Emperor are set to release their the Lizard EP on November 6th via Trout Records.

Made up of Paul Savage (guitar and vocals), Philip Christie (piano and vocals), Richie Walsh (bass), Alan Comerford (lead guitar) and Brendan Fennessy (drums), the band have been friends since school; their shared adolescent discovery of all kinds of music led to a willful ignorance of the restraints of genre, and O Emperor is the result.

There are hints of Ariel Pink, Mac DeMarco, of Montreal and any number of bedroom pop auteurs, but don’t be fooled – recorded at the band’s Big Skin HQ studio in Cork City.
