Watch Father John Misty perform ‘Nancy From Now On” on Conan; Adds 2013 Tour Dates with Magic Trick, The Walkmen
Father John Misty’s 2012 North American tour came to a close last night with a stunning performance of Fear Fun single “Nancy From Now On” on Conan. He and his band were joined by a four-piece string section, percussionist and special guest Roger Manning Jr. (of Jellyfish, Beck fame) on keys (see performance Monday November 5).
Father John Misty will return to Europe for a month-long, headlining tour, beginning on November 11 in Helsinki, FI at Tavastia Club and ending on December 11 in Madrid, ES at El Sol. Additionally, he and his band will appear on both inaugural voyages of the S.S. Coachella on the luxury cruise ship Celebrity Silhouette: Fort Lauderdale to the Bahamas, December 16-19 and Fort Lauderdale to Jamaica, December 19-23. On December 29, Father John Misty will close out the year with a headline show in Los Angeles, CA at the El Rey Theatre.
Father John Misty has scheduled another tour of North America in the new year. He will act as headliner for two weeks, beginning January 4 in Aspen, CO at Belly Up and ending on January 14 in New York, NY at Webster Hall, with support from Hardly Art Recording act Magic Trick. He will then act as direct support for The Walkmen’s headline tour, which begins on January 15 in Montreal, QC at Corona Theatre and ends on January 28 in Vancouver, BC at The Commodore Ballroom. Immediately following he will close out the trek with two more headline dates: January 31 in Santa Cruz, CA at Rio Theatre and February 1 in Santa Barbara at So Ho.
Father John Misty’s Fear Fun is now available on CD, LP, and digitally in North America via Sub Pop and in Europe via Bella Union.
