Grimes has released a new video for “You’ll Miss Me When I’m Not Around,” a track from her latest album, MISS ANTHROPOCENE which was released last month via 4AD/Crystal Math. The multi-artist grew up on bootleg sampling and DIY creation. Today, she shared her finished video in front of a green screen, encouraging creators to generate their own videos, as part of a collective art project, using the raw files and audio stems she is making available to all.
Grimes is also working with WeTransfer, ArtStation, and Native Instruments to extend the invitation to the broader creative community. Creators can post their videos on YouTube and share the link on Twitter using #grimesartkit . Grimes will be sharing some of her favorites on her social media channels.
