Wallice has returned with new single from her upcoming EP, Mr Big Shot, out June 23rd via Dirty Hit. “Loser at Best” is an ode to 90s pop-punk but with a modern day twist, and follows the EP’s lead-single “Best Friend.” Wallice has also announced a series of UK headline dates for later this year, including London’s Moth Club on June 2nd, then will roll right into a headline US run of shows this Summer before returning to the UK for Reading and Leeds 2023.

“I started this song last May while on a writing trip in London. I would say this song is a bit of a love song to my boyfriend. We have been together for eight years, but I was missing him at the time he was home and I was gone for a bit, and we started off as friends back in high school. This song is about wanting to feel needed and being intoxicated by love,” says Wallice

After picking up her first instrument at age 6, Wallice started writing songs in middle school and later played in her high school band, inspired by the lyricism of Thom Yorke, Lana Del Rey and the pop-punk sounds of Weezer and No Doubt. She also modelled and acted (once appearing in an episode of Frasier) throughout adolescence. A proud college dropout, she attended the New School in New York City for Jazz Vocal performance for a year before moving back to California and connecting with childhood friend and fellow artist marinelli, who helped her hone the wistful indie pop style that led to her rise. A breakout 2021 culminated in the release of her debut EP Off the Rails, followed by her signing to Dirty Hit. Wallice has toured with beabadoobee, Still Woozy, chloe moriondo, Wallows and JAWNY.
