Velvet Negroni has shared the track “Kurt Kobain”. The single is now available via XL Recordings, and streaming services. Along with the single, Negroni and frequent collaborator and co-producer of Neon Brown Elliott Kozel have released a video directed by Ryan Kron Thompson (Bon Iver, Lizzo).

Raised in an outer suburb of the Twin Cities, Velvet Negroni AKA: Jeremy Nutzman – a black kid adopted into a white evangelical Christian family – split his formative years between classical piano lessons and late night jam sessions. A duality that permeates every corner of his music, with forthcoming album Neon Brown thriving in the borderlands between indie rock and R&B. Having already notched writing credits for Kanye West and Kid Cudi, as well as feature on Bon Iver’s current release i,i.  Velvet Negroni will be touring with Tame Impala this summer,  including shows in New York City and Philadelphia.
