Jade Hairpins are gearing up for an early-spring tour of the UK—including dates with Pissed Jeans and a set at the Manchester Punk Festival—by sharing “Unreliable,” a punched-up, baggy, pop-kissed barb of post-post-punk that is, according to the Hairpins’ frontman Jonah Falco, “about living up to the ideals and expectations of an ever changing brain, will, body, and world.”

Following 2023’s “Life in England,” “Unreliable” is another peek at what Falco and Mike Haliechuk have been up to since Jade Hairpins’ 2020 debut album Harmony Avenue. Absurdist and thrilling, self-deprecating and anthemic, “Unreliable” is Jade Hairpins at their irreverent best.
