“Try To Fight” by Cathedrals

Cathedrals, have released their new video for the single “Try To Fight.” The video was choreographed by Denna Thomsen (who worked on Sia’s “Elastic Heart”) and stars dancer/model/actress Kylie Shea and Nick Baga (La La Land, Grease! Live, Dancing With the Stars). A throwback to the days of Flash Dance and Dirty Dancing, “Try To Fight” was directed by Brodie’s longtime childhood friend Jesse Fleece whose credits include Paul McCartney, Lana del Rey and Arcade Fire. For, nearly a year Cathedrals wrote and recorded a new batch of tracks that they have been releasing since April. Most recently they shared “Autumn Split” and before that “With You”.

Cathedrals is producer Johnny Hwin and vocalist Brodie Jenkins. Drawing simultaneously from Swedish pop and nineties trip-hop, indie dreamwave and pitch-black trap, Cathedrals merge these disparate pieces into the gorgeous geometry that defines their debut EP, released in 2014 with Neon Gold, and their latest body of music.

Cathedrals will be playing on September 20 as part of “Give a Home,” a collaboration between Amnesty International and Sofar Sounds in which 1000 musicians will play in living rooms across the globe. The coverts will be live-streamed with support from Vice and Facebook Live.
