Touching Ice share have released their new second single “Heart Like a Dog.” The track is off their forthcoming album, I Just Remembered Everything Always Works Out for Me, available November 14th via American Death Records (Dutch Interior). The name coming from a poem by Marty McConnel, “Heart Like a Dog”, came together quite eclectically and underwent multiple variations over the last year and a half. The band says “we felt a particular draw towards evolving the guitar and feedback sounds and blending this into the more electronic elements. Littered throughout are spoken “affirmations” chopped and distorted.” The LP was Produced, recorded, mixed, and mastered by Touching Ice and Levi Matulis.

Touching Ice formed in 2023, starting as an experiment between friends, Davis Stewart and Dominic Colangelo traced the blurred edge of movement and disruption. But it wasn’t until Abigail Reese joined, adding poetry on like lyrics onto their tracks, that the Los Angeles band crystallized into something whole.

After opening for Mandy, Indiana, Pixel Grip, Urika’s Bedroom, untitled (halo), and Marie Davidson and playing at LA festivals, And Always Forever and Substance, Touching Ice just finished supporting Cowgirl Clue’s North American tour and a West Coast tour with Provoker this fall.
