Tōth’s LP is out now via Egghunt / Northern Spy. Today, the New York City-based Rubblebucket co-founder announces a run of headlining North American tour dates, in addition to previously announced EU shows. He has also shared a video for “Ice Cream,” by Noel Paul. The Geese “Taxes” and Mitski “Where’s My Phone” video director gathered footage during a live performance at Unitarian Church as part of a Brooklyn Choir concert. Filmed from the perspective of a nylon string guitar’s interior, it builds to an explosive finale.

Tōth has also announced a debut run of headline US dates with support from Sean Nicholas Savage on select shows, following a few shows with Guster, and is also currently on tour in the UK/EU. All info below.

On the track, “Ice Cream” Tōth shares: “I reached out to Noel about doing a music video and he was drawn to my song ‘Ice Cream.’ His initial idea was to put a camera inside a cheap nylon guitar that I would eventually smash. It seemed like the video wasn’t going to happen because of how busy we both were, but when he found out I was performing in a giant church in Brooklyn Heights with an 85 person choir we seized the opportunity to turn that performance into our set. So I performed ‘Ice Cream’ as the opening song and we had one take to get it right! That was the first and last guitar I’ll ever smash (probably).”

Toth’s path to this album has been anything but linear. After early struggles with addiction and run-ins with the law, Toth found salvation in music, co-founding Rubblebucket in college and building a joyful collective that became his lifeline. Getting sober while navigating a very public breakup and maintaining the creative partnership taught him that spiritual seeking isn’t about transcendence – it’s about staying. With Rubblebucket on indefinite hiatus, Tōth is ready to focus his full energy on his solo work: music that doesn’t bypass the messy human work of choosing life, choosing love, choosing embodiment.
