Thundercat Announces North American Tour

Kamasi Washington announces North American Tour.

Thundercat released his critically acclaimed third full length album Drunk earlier this year on Brainfeeder Records. Since announcing the album in January with the single “Show You The Way” featuring Michael McDonald & Kenny Loggins, Thundercat has played shows across the world including a sold out North American winter tour, sold out shows across Europe and Japan, and festivals including Coachella.

Today, Thundercat announced a headline North American tour in addition to his previously announced appearances at festivals including FYF Fest in Los Angeles and Afropunk in New York City. All newly announced North American headline shows will be on sale to the general public this Friday, May 19 at 10am local time, except for the Brooklyn, NY show which will go on sale at 12pm ET. For ticket information, visit http://brainfeeder.net/thundercat.

Drunk is a 23-track epic journey into the often hilarious, sometimes dark mind of the Grammy-winning singer/bassist and finds a few of his friends joining him along the way including: Kendrick Lamar, Pharrell, Michael McDonald, Kenny Loggins, Wiz Khalifa, Kamasi Washington and Brainfeeder mastermind Flying Lotus. Drunk is the follow up to his widely praised 2015 mini album The Beyond / Where The Giants Roam. Drunk is available via digital, CD and on vinyl comprised of four red 10”s housed in a lift-off box featuring photography by Eddie Alcazar and artwork by Zack Fox.

THUNDERCAT is the alter ego of virtuosic bassist / singer Stephen Bruner. The South Los Angeles-native previously released two critically acclaimed full length albums on Brainfeeder Records and mini-album The Beyond / Where the Giants Roam. Thundercat has also made outstanding contributions to landmark albums by Kamasi Washington (The Epic) and Kendrick Lamar (To Pimp A Butterfly). His work on Lamar’s netted him his first Grammy in 2016.
